Need to say more than quote Bruce Willis as New York cop John McClane! Always a classic to watch!
Nonsense thoughts sometimes run trough our heads…Nowadays, I’m in a mood for Rocky, but Rambo can pull it off also. I want to go out and practice jumping rope like Rocky. I’ve put this thought in my head since the last day I saw rocky IV again. The man is a machine. Has a body like a rock! Really, the name suits him. I wish I can jump rope like him, that’s what I want right now. Is it too much to ask for a birthday present? I already started to practice, but in the beginning I looked like I had no motor coordination. But I’m starting to improve and get better and better at it. You’ll see. Rocky reborn (as a female :).
Today was general strike day here in Lisbon. People are unhappy with the overall situation of the economy, etc… Meaning: lots of traffic, lots of cars, angry people, and a all lot of other stressful situations. But after a day’s hard work, my sister made me dinner and I could go easily for a run and comeback to find dinner was ready, 5 minutes away from a quick shower and a warm plate of soup and chicken noodles… Can it be like this everyday please sis :)? Thank you! Love you!
Do you ever get that feeling that you are in the beginning of something big? And you just don’t know what it is, or how is it going to develop but something is just waiting for you, for your move, your action, to start growing into something good. that is how I feel today. Happy and confident. Almost like that song in Sound of Music:
“What will this day be like? I wonder.
What will my future be? I wonder.
It could be so exciting to be out in the world, to be free (…)”.
This week, Google made a special tribute to the Origami Master Akira Yoshizawa, known as the “grandmaster of origami.” And that inspired me to look up who this man was, and I found out that he’s 101 years old (OMG!) which is amazing, and he is responsible for ‘elevating’ origami to the level of Art. I wanna be like Akira when I grow up 😉
Did you? Today I’m thinking about the way we use our mobile phones, and that technology is always with us, and we are always in touch with someone through it. And that doesn’t always means a good think, necessarily. I’m with a friend and she is always looking at her mobile to see if they have new mail, new facebook messages, posts, comments, etc so that they can reply as well, and give the “location/what am I doing at the moment” report to the world wide web. OMG! Can we ever go back to simple face to face talk and enjoy each other’s company while we are physically present with one another?
